We have been very fortunate with both Parker and his new sister that our friends Cole and Eve outgrow a lot of clothes and toys just in time for Parker and his sister to use them. Right now Baby Girl Culver's closet is
packed with clothes from Eve and her cousin. However, sometimes I think that Aunt Heather sends things just to see what my reaction will be.
And so let me introduce you to Monkey Face...
Monkey Face was one of Cole's favorite toys for quite a while. His mommy
hated Monkey Face and talked about it often. The main problem is that Monkey Face seems to follow you with his eyes when you move around the room - like those really old black and white photos - and therefore Monkey Face is creepy. As any good Mommy would, Heather allowed Cole to keep Monkey Face and even bought a backup Monkey Face in case anything should befall the original.
Of course, once Cole transitioned away from Monkey Face and to his dinosaur blanket his mommy was very happy. And it just so happens that Even did not enjoy Monkey Face's creepy face any more than Mommy or I did. So, what happens to be in the latest bog of hand-me-downs for the Culver children? Monkey Face and his twin! AHHHHH! What to do? Do we hide Monkey Face and bestow him on some unsuspecting kid at a yard sale or Goodwill? Do we allow the Culver children to even see Monkey Face? Because of course my concern is not that Baby Girl will like him - but Parker will, which will cause a much bigger problem! Darn you Monkey Face! The jury is still out.
