Ma Pat and Pa Lar are very lucky in their first go-round as grandparents because they have some VERY dear friends to share in the experience with. When Mom needs advice from an "experienced" grandma she can go to her friend Lorna, but when mom and dad want to share in all the newbie experiences of grandparent-hood they can call our oldest family friends Bruce and Lani. Just about 7 days ago today Bruce and Lani became first-time grandparents to Cole Reid Wadehra - and I believe the quote to my parents was something along the lines of "it is as wonderful as when your own child is born without all the worries and fears - you just get all the joy". So, already Ma Pat and Pa Lar have some dear friends a few weeks ahead of them on this journey.
In today's numbered box Bruce and Lani enclosed this message: "Ben and Mandy, Congratulations! Our best to the three of you. Love and Hugs, Bruce and Lani". Bruce and Lani's gift for Baby Culver was this supply of swaddle blankets - I am very excited about these because on the back it also lists many other ways to use them like as Pack 'n Play sheets, burp cloths, or laying them on the ground where BBC will play. I have also heard that their daughter Heather received some for Christmas and loves them for Baby Cole.
Oh my goodness! Day 21 already! Only four more days! We have LOVED reading your daily posts...do you think you can keep it going even AFTER BSIAB is done (That BS is Baby Shower...in case you were wondering)?
