Playseum

One rainy day we decided to head to the Kid's Playseum in Bethesda with Ella for some fun! The Playseum has about 12 different theme rooms where kids can explore and play.

The first stop was the grocery store. Mommy was really proud that Parker loaded his cart up with lots of great fruits and vegetables! And look at the size of that carrot!

Checking out and "paying" for the groceries. The kids took turns being the cashier - then they had to go around an put back all of their groceries.

There was a small animal room with a couple of birds, bunnies, and other creatures. The birds are trained to let the kids pet them.

And they can also hold them and let them fly back to their perch. Birds freak me out a bit but I tolerated this for the sake of the fun. Parker thought it was great - we immediately went and washed his hands.

With the price of your entrance you get a few museum "bucks" this allows you do do some of the other activities. Parker and Ella both decided they would like to paint. Parker chose a bird house.

He painted the outside AND the inside - wanted to make sure the birds had very zen coloring in their house. Then the lady covered it with some glitter and let it dry.

The story room had a radio flyer rocket ship! Parker was a little big for it but he didn't seem to mind.

Towards the end of our time at the Playseum they had storytime. Riley got to chill with Miss Kerry while the little kids sat close to the story stage.
