Spring Trip to the Zoo!

The National Zoo has opened up the new American Trail section and we took the opportunity of good weather to check it out.

Riley dressed the part in her giraffe dress. Unfortunately the Zoo doesn't have giraffes...They should work on that.

In the kid area Parker was checking out the cows. Some day we will make it out to the Ranch to see one up close and personal.

One of the highlights of the American Trail section is the new Sea Lion exhibit. There is a huge underwater window to watch the Sea Lions play.

We were early and the kids had almost the whole place to themselves.

Up above there is another big viewing area. The Sea Lions are so playful and Parker ran back and forth while they swam with him.

They have also added a new carousel at the zoo. It is all animals to rid and it is so big and nice. Parker and Ella rode next to each other. Of course Parker picked the Elephant.

Trying to get two 3 year olds to pose for a picture at the end of the zoo trip is a little difficult.

Checking out the lions and tigers before heading back...

On the way back we decided to take one more cruise by the Sea Lions. They did not disappoint.
