On the 5th day of our Thankful project we are thankful for our Pa Lar. He is a very elusive type and it is tough to get a photo of him...But, when you do there are wonderful memories to capture.
He is always up for a trip for ice cream for one special Big Brother - who cheers for Coldstone (who wouldn't?)
He is always a little hesitant to hold the new babies - I think he is scared of tiny little creatures...But eventually we can convince him that everyone else is busy and he has the ONLY hands available and must hold the baby! This was his first Riley photo and as you can see, she makes it pretty easy on him.
But one of our favorite things about Pa Lar is he loves his girls. He has a soft spot for the needs of any of his girls and would drop absoutely anything if any of them needed anything. His love for Ma Pat, his own little girl, and his new granddaughter can simply be seen in the adoration on his face when we do manage to catch him in one of the rare photos.
We love you and miss you Pa Lar!
