I am thankful that my children will grow up in a country where they can be informed and go to the polls and voice their opinion.
I am thankful that even if their opinion differs from their friends, family, or even their parents (gasp!) they will have the right to express that opinion and take part in the democratic process.
I am thankful that their Daddy has been given this amazing opportunity to learn about our country and our democratic process. And he gets to do it in our nation's capitol!
I am thankful for amazing friends who can sit with us and have educated conversations about our opinions, and even when our opinions differ - and conversations get heated - we still always walk away as friends with respect for one another.
But, most of all today, I believe I am thankful that for now Ben and I can use our votes to hopefully positively impact the future of our children so for now...
