Preschool Man

July you say? I haven't updated the blog since July? And even then I was blogging things from MAY? Well, I have finally decided the best thing to do is pick a new starting point and go forward. If/when I can I will go back and blog some of our days of Summer, but until then I don't want it to make us miss out on fall! Sooo...without further delay...
Our little man has officially begun preschool. We found a great little program at a local church very close to the house and he goes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9-12.
He was excited from the very first day! Ready to go in his new Dinosaur shirt with his Lightning McQueen backpack and Thomas lunchbox. Not a single tear at the door - just ready to get moving!

First day of school artwork - rocketships and airplanes. I think he is getting pretty good!
His teacher Ms. Cilhar takes some photos during class occasionally and shares them with the parents. She caught some great first day photos.

Playing on the slide in the classroom.
Man chores at the tool bench.
Checking out the science table - always has things related to what they are studying at the time - things to touch and smell...
Playing cars with new friends - the best way to win over little boys at school is with a car mat and a bunch of cars!

The rest of the photos are from other days more recently...
Playing in the big sandbox on the school playground. According to Parker he spends most of his time here.
Climbing to the top of the rope tower.
They eat lunch at school (which I LOVE). Parker is sitting at the table behind this one (orange shirt). He usually does a pretty good job of eating the lunch I send.
Playing on the slides.
The smaller outside sandbox.
More climbing.
Construction trucks!
And what, may you ask, does Riley do while Big Brother is at school? Well, as you can imagine Mommy tries to get as many errands done as possible! So, sometimes that means trying to get in a quick Costco run. Our Costco is actually in the mall (it is odd, but I will take it) and it doesn't open until 10AM. So, if we go after we drop off brother we can spend a little time crawling around in the play area at the mall...
So much fun!
And of course Riley enjoys the novelty of having time at home to play with all the toys without anyone else stealing them from her! She thinks brother going to preschool is a pretty good idea too!
