Advent Fun

Parker loves that each day he gets to open one of his Advent boxes. We usually wait until after naptime to open them - since Ma Pat and Grandma Sterr packed them full of so many yummy sweets.

Each day he has to count the boxes to get to the one that he is allowed to open.


Then he can carefully pull out the box and get the present.


Now that Daddy is done with his night classes we will usually wait until he comes home to open the boxes so he can help.


Keep counting - it is good practice!


Because there are so many yummy sweets in the boxes Parker now calls these his "treat boxes".


But some boxes also have coins in them! Parker likes to count these also as he puts them into his special Dragon bank. But the dragon is getting pretty full so one day Daddy might have to trade in the coins for some of that green paper money (which also comes in the treat boxes sometimes)!


We have to be careful when we pull out the boxes so we don't tear the big box. Sometimes it takes some help from Mommy or Daddy, and as Ma Pat knows, each year the box usually needs a little bit of TLC.
